We ship seed year round. Fall Plant shipping has ended for 2009. Our plants will look forward to coming to you in the Spring of 2010.

In the 37 years that Prairie Nursery has been in business, we have come to appreciate that in addition to the unmatched beauty and natural habitat provided by our native wildflowers, grasses, sedges and ferns, they also provide tremendous value. Prairies and gardens utilizing hardy native perennial plants require a surprisingly small amount of upkeep for maintaining their beauty, helping to manage rainfall runoff, preventing erosion and improving the soil.

Our professional ecologists can help you create a natural landscape. We work with you every step of the way including planning, Design and installation.

Along with an extensive list of individual species available, we offer a wide variety of Native Plants and Seed Mixes, for sunny prairies to shady woodlands.  We currently offer 36 plant gardens and 23 seed mixes to satisfy nearly every client's needs.  The gardens and seed mixes are designed specifically to provide blooms spring through fall as well as create habitat and sustenance for a variety of visitors, particulary birds and butterflies!
